Memorial site for Haapala, in London Park, Tel Aviv promenade, 2016: Jews who came to the land of Israel through sea during and after WW2, including ships that sank.
Memorial site for Haapala, London Park, Tel Aviv promenade, 2017. One of the ships was “Mefkure”, sank in the Black Sea on 5.8.1944. My aunt, Rivka (Rebecca) Hava Braunstein, died on that site. I am named after her.

Olim cards (entering immigration cards), Haifa, 8.11.1933. “Mayer” was first written by the clerk as in Yiddish spelling, then corrected to “Meir” as it remained since in Hebrew documents. It took me years to embrace the German spelling “Mayer” again.
